Steel and Hull Structure Fitter / Welder

Location: Szkuner Shipyard

Responsibilities:

• Assembly and welding of steel structures, including hulls and structural components of ships and other floating objects

Requirements:

• Secondary or vocational education

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the profession

• Ability to read technical drawings

• Skills related to preparation of structures for assembly, including arc tack welding

• Skills in gas cutting of metals

• Knowledge of welding processes: 111, 136, 141

• Desired experience in the shipbuilding industry

Preferred:

• Forklift operator license

• Licenses to operate cranes, hoists, and winches controlled from the working level — general-purpose hook category IIS
