On Friday, May 16, 2025, the elegant interiors of the Gwiazda Morza Hotel in Władysławowo hosted a special celebration marking the 70th anniversary of Szkuner – one of the oldest and most distinguished fishing companies in Poland. The event brought together a large number of guests, including representatives of local, regional, and national authorities, members of parliament, partners, contractors, employees, and friends of the company. The ceremony was officially opened by Puck County Governor Jarosław Białk, who emphasized the enormous importance of Szkuner not only for the region but for the entire maritime economy in Poland. “Szkuner is part of Władysławowo’s history – a testament to the hard work, perseverance, and dedication of generations,” he said, thanking all those who have contributed to the company's success over the years.
Next, Company President Witold Wawrzonkoski took the floor. In a compelling and heartfelt speech, he recounted the company’s journey – from its founding in 1955, through dynamic years of growth, economic and technological changes, to the present day. He highlighted how, over seven decades, the company has maintained its continuity and identity, constantly modernizing while remaining true to its mission. Following the official part of the evening, guests were invited to a festive dinner. The artistic portion of the event featured a performance by a magician, whose humorous and surprising show delighted the audience. In a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere, guests also had the chance to enjoy regional delicacies – including Baltic anchovy-style sprats, specially prepared for the occasion using a local recipe. The evening was filled with emotion, memories, and gratitude. The 70th anniversary of Szkuner was more than just a jubilee – it was a meaningful celebration of resilience, responsibility, and ongoing development that continues to inspire and instill pride in the local community.
